Successful Farming – Minter Country Garden

In the heart of Chilliwack, Minter Country Garden has grown into a beloved destination for gardening enthusiasts, thanks to the dedication and passion of the Minter family. Founded by Brian and Faye Minter, their journey began when they purchased the original Country Garden shop, a local staple since 1957. Their love for plants and gardening quickly resonated with Fraser Valley residents, and the couple soon became integral to the community’s gardening culture.

In 1994, the Minters expanded their operations, relocating to 18 acres on Young Road, where they could better serve their growing customer base. The new space allowed them to enhance their offerings with state-of-the-art Dutch glass greenhouses, equipped with modern technologies for temperature control, irrigation, and fertilization. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter, with the Minters continuing to grow their business with a focus on quality, innovation, and service.

Now, three generations later, Minter Country Garden remains a family-run business, committed to nurturing both plants and relationships with the community. With 14 greenhouses and a Prinz House, the garden center has become a destination for gardeners of all levels, offering everything from expert advice to the inspiration needed to create stunning gardens.

For over 35 years, Minter Country Garden has been the place where great gardens begin. The Minters continue to cultivate their legacy, sharing their passion for gardening and helping customers grow thriving gardens that reflect the same care and dedication that has shaped the business from the start.

Today you can visit one of their many locations and buy a variety of plants, seeds, flowers, and enjoy light snacks and meals at their Cultivate Cafe. For more information on Minter Country Gardens please visit their website.
