Successful Farming – The Farmhouse Natural Cheeses

Nestled in the small town of Agassiz, primarily a farming community, lies The Farmhouse Natural Cheeses Farm. A goat and cattle farm that produces and sells its own goat and cow milk, cheese, and other products. This farm has been a proud family-run operation since 2003. What began as a small venture has grown into a celebrated destination for those who appreciate high-quality, handmade artisan cheeses made from both cow and goat milk.

With a deep commitment to sustainability and local farming traditions, they create their cheeses using fresh, whole milk from their own herd of dairy cows and goats, ensuring that each product is crafted with care and passion right on the farm.

Directly on the farm is a storefront where locals and visitors can stop in and purchase a variety of cow and goat milk-based products made by them. You can also purchase locally-based artisan products like jam, tea, crackers, honey, and much more.

Tours and visits to the farm are encouraged and welcomed. They allow people to see how the dairy is acquired, produced, and made into the products they see at the storefront. You can watch the cheese-making process up close and get a glimpse into how this little farm became a staple in the city of Agassiz.

Today, this farm operates the same as it did when it opened two decades ago—operating a goat and cow farm, making dairy-based products, and selling them locally. You can find their products across BC and at various retail locations in Vancouver.

Farmhouse Natural Cheeses is open from Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and you can find them on their website.
