The story of Willow View Farms began in 1960, when Herman and Martha Siemens purchased the property that would soon become the heart of a growing family legacy. Their early years in the valley were dedicated to dairy farming, later shifting into hog farming in 1978 as they continued to build a life rooted in hard work and agriculture. By the late 1980s, berries and apples were introduced to the farm, setting the stage for a full transition into fruit and vegetable production—a direction that would shape the future of the business for decades to come.
Herman and Martha both passed away in early 2018, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, perseverance, and love for the land. In honour of their memory, the farm’s new store has been lovingly dedicated to them, ensuring their influence remains a meaningful part of every visitor’s experience.
In 1991, Murray and Cheryl Siemens moved onto the family farm, bringing with them a new chapter of farm-direct sales and agritourism. Their daughters, Kelsey and Jordyn, grew up immersed in the daily rhythms of farming life, learning the value of community, family, and cultivating fresh local food.
Today, the farm proudly spans generations. Kelsey, a UBC graduate, has returned in a managerial role, carrying the Willow View legacy forward with fresh ideas and a passion for local agriculture. Jordyn, who earned her B.A. in English Literature and a Library Technician Diploma, works for the Fraser Valley Regional Library and helps on the farm whenever she can. Her husband, Bobby, works for the City of Abbotsford but spends fall weekends on the farm—where cider making has become his specialty.
From its early beginnings to the multi-generation farm it is today, Willow View Farms continues to grow through family dedication, community connection, a shared love of the land, and a vital part of the Abbotsford community.
